CTRTheme Nulled Version Problems

Considering the popularity of CTR Theme. There have been many links on the internet offering CTRTheme Nulled or people trying to spin or selloff websites with CTRTheme installed on it.
There have been instances where people have sold existing sites with nulled version where the new owner gets into trouble sometime in the future asking for support or upgrades from us.
There have also been instances where the nulled themes have some malicious scripts inserted in theme by which the website can be hacked.
Is it really worthwhile going for a nulled version of the theme when there is a legitimate theme available which gives you support and upgrades?
